WSU to play baseball at Fifth Third Field for first time


Wright State University baseball at Fifth Third Field in Dayton? Be a believer.

WSU will play at the Dragons’ home base for the first time in program history on Thursday, May 17, against Northern Kentucky in a Horizon League game.

“We’re very excited about our partnership with the Dayton Dragons and the opportunity to play at Fifth Third Field,” WSU Director of Athletics Bob Grant said in a statement. “Our baseball program has a terrific national reputation and has achieved great success. We’re excited to showcase our program and our student-athletes in a great environment in downtown Dayton.”

There will be no admission charge, but spectators must obtain a ticket in advance. Information about that is at daytondragons.com/raiderday.

WSU plays its home games on campus at Nischwitz Stadium. WSU is 25-13 overall and is in first place in the Horizon League (13-5).
