- Passing downpours and storms return today
- Some dry time this weekend
- Perseid meteor shower peaks
TODAY: Mild and muggy morning. Clearing skies early with some clouds returning. Highs in the middle 80s. Muggy today. Isolated downpours and storms will get going this afternoon as a cold front drifts into the area. Storms will begin north around 3-4 p.m., and move south through the evening. Localized heavy rain and strong wind gusts will be possible with this activity. Storms end overnight. Some spotty fog could develop early Saturday if skies clear.
SATURDAY: We will see isolated storms for the afternoon with the main threat localized heavy downpours.
Not a bad set up for the weekend with highs in the low 80s and a little mugginess. A few pop up storms could develop in the afternoon but activity will stay isolated and fizzle after sunset. Some breaks in the clouds overnight. Head outside and look for some meteors! Temps will drop to the low 60s.
SUNDAY: Again, a lot of dry time especially early in the day. Sun and clouds with highs in the low 80s. A few pop up storms could develop with the heat of the day. Clouds decrease into the night. Best night for stargazing the Perseids. Temps drop to the low 60s.
MONDAY: Looking better to start the week. Highs in the low 80s and still muggy. Some sunshine and a few clouds. Might be enough moisture to sneak out a stray shower.
TUESDAY: A pleasant day. Highs in the low 80s with sunshine
